We are dedicated to making beautiful products with farm raised butterflies of the rainforests of the world. Our butterflies live out their lifespans and are harvested after they die. Indigenous peoples in thirteen countries are currently butterfly farming as a sustainable renewable income source. Butterfly farming allows these cultures to make a living while keeping the rainforest intact. Before butterfly farming grants were given, these same tribes were forced to clear the land for mangrove harvesters and cattle companies to make way for cheap lands for grazing. Since forty seven percent of prescription drug derivatives come from rain forest plants and half of the planet's clean water supply and a fifth of the world's oxygen comes from our amazing rainforests, you can see how important it is to preserve them.
