We are dedicated to making beautiful products with farm raised butterflies from the rainforests of the world. Our butterflies live out their lifespans and are harvested after they die. Indigenous peoples in 13 countries are currently butterfly farming as a sustainable income source. Butterfly farming allows these cultures to make a living while keeping the rainforests intact. Before butterfly farming grants were given, these cultures were forced to clear the land for mangrove harvesters and cattle companies in order to make way for cheap grazing land. Since half of the planet's clean water supply as well as a fifth of the world's oxygen in addition to 47% percent of all prescription drug derivatives comes from our amazing rainforests, you can see how important it is to preserve them.
